Ron Jones, born Ron Jones The Artist, encourages you not to limit a book by it’s title. Attracted to many things growing up, art and video games seemed to be more than just hobbies. Starting his career in the game industry right after high school, he broke all the rules he was taught to believe. Luckily he’s in the age of indie games and felt right at home after graduating from the Art Institute of Atlanta. Taking a few years to find his place in the game world, Ron was able to mature in his own persona. Digital and mixed media artist, writer, and game developer are just a few hats that Ron dares to takes on. One in which is the mastermind of Atlanta’s traveling indie dev booth, called the Indie Cluster. Appearing at different schools and conferences, hosting a podcast called #IndieDEV, and sponsoring game jams, the cluster is designed to help local developers gain a larger presence as one and to help teach for a more diverse community. Ron loves to create and pursues others that want to do the same. Today he’s doing things on his own and enjoys the freedom of being an entrepreneur.
