If you’re here, it probably means you’re looking for some content to help you provide media coverage for the Southern-Fried Gaming Expo in some way. This ain’t our first rodeo, and we’re here to help. Our fifth-annual event begins on Friday, June 8, 2018 and runs through Sunday, June 10, 2018 at the Renaissance Atlanta Waverly Hotel & Convention Center in Atlanta, Georgia. We hope you can make it and share your experience with others.
We created the Southern-Fried Gaming Expo to share our love of gaming with long-time fans of video games, pinball machines, and tabletop games, and to spread the joy of discovery with new fans of all ages. Last year, we saw more than 3,000 unique visitors of all ages attend our show. This is a home-grown, family-friendly fan convention created by gaming fans for the gaming community in the Southeast. The support we have received from the gaming community has been nothing short of amazing. We think the show is awesome, but don’t take our word for it:
“Whether you’re a fan of pinball machines, old-fashioned arcade games, or Dungeons & Dragons-style role-playing, there’s something to catch your attention…” – FOX5 Atlanta
“The Southern-Fried Gameroom Expo is a reminder of what we’ve lost.” – Killscreen
“At Southern-Fried, hardcore collectors play alongside adults who haven’t touched a real pinball machine in decades and children who’ve never played one at all.[…]a nostalgic cacophony that briefly brought the past back to life…” – Creative Loafing
“…where all your geek gamer dreams come true” – GeekDad
“Southern-Fried Gameroom Expo… instantly established a high score.” – Backstage
“The Coin-Op Revival” – Paste Magazine
“Introduce your “Call of Duty”-obsessed teen to the pinging, bleeping lure of classic arcade and pinball games.” – Atlanta Magazine
“…it was glorious” – GeekDad
“…I have to say, it was like magic.” – Fortress
“It was a ton of fun. Totally worth the money.” – Reddit
“Simply put, this thing was about as close to a vision of heaven as I have ever seen; any religion out there that promises me THIS as an eternal afterlife has my complete allegiance.” – The Internet is in America
This page is meant to provide you with anything you might need to help spread the word about the Southern-Fried Gaming Expo – including our press release, photos, and general information. Need something more? Email us at email@example.com and we will do our best to answer your questions.
Want to attend our event in person? We’re happy to provide you with press passes to the event. Simply fill out the media access form on our site. Consideration for previous coverage is given when approving media guests, but does not guarantee repeat access. Members of the press who are provided access to, but do not publish material about SFGE, will not be invited to return in a media capacity for future events. We’re willing to provide interviews with approved media before the event and members of our staff can speak expertly about a variety of gaming topics.
Note: Please send us the link(s) to anything you publish about our event – we want to make sure you get lots of credit in our “SFGE In the News” section!
